What you can experience:
Unique natural enviroment, possibility of watching the biggest
living mammal - Zubr, a lot of lakes in the northern part
of the voivodeship, 4 national parks including the most precious
natural area in the country - Bialowieski National Park, the
central part of the region is dominated by the valleys of
the Biebrza and Narew rivers with complexes of picturesque
swamps with the biggest number of bird spieces; in Bialystok
there is the Palace of Branicki family, in Augustów
sluice on Augustowski Channel, church complex of the Holy
Trinity and baroque synagogue from 1642 in Tykocin; Post-
Camedolite monastic complex from the XVIIth and XVIIIth century
and beautiful lake in Wigry where Pope John Paul II stayed
in 1999.
